OBAMA

How does this affect you? If you sell your home and make a profit, you
will pay 28% of your gain on taxes.

If you are heading toward retirement and would like to down-size your

Fidel Castro Predicts Obama's Death

Obama Under Threat, Castro Says

Former Cuban president Fidel Castro has claimed it is a "pure miracle" that US presidential candidate Barack Obama has not been assassinated.

Fidel Castro

Fidel Castro weighs in on presidential race

Most of the following is from Sky News, http://www.blogger.com

It is ironic that the very man whose name came up so much after the assasination of President John F. Kennedy should now be predicting someone's out to get Barak Obama.

In those days, many thought Castro had something to do with the president's death near the Texas Book Depository in Dallas. It has never been proven, but still the erie spector of Cuban antipathy for America exists. Lee Harvey Oswald was in Cuba and Russia prior to the assasination and he is credited with shooting Kennedy. Who set him up, the Mitchell report did not say, and left it with a very non-conclusive ending. Read what Castro now says about the people he hates, Americans, and about the gloomy road Obama must walk, in Fidel's opinion, even if he is elected.

Mr Castro also accused American society of being marked by "profound racism", as he revealed his thoughts on the race for the White House ahead of the election on November 4.

He wrote: "Millions of whites cannot reconcile in their minds with the idea that a black man with his wife and children would move into the White House, which is called just like that - White".

He added that it was a "pure miracle" the Illinois senator, who became the first black politician to win the Democratic Party's presidential nomination, has not been the target of an assassination attempt.

Barack Obama

Obama leading in the polls

The ailing Cuban communist leader described Mr Obama as a politician who "has the habit of looking at his opponent with serenity and laughing at his rhetorical attacks."

Mr Castro also mocked Republican candidate John McCain for his apparent poor grades at a naval academy and said the party's vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin "knew nothing at all about anything".

Mr Castro, who handed power to his brother Raul earlier this year, made his remarks in a commentary that appeared on the website Cubadebate.

His comments came as the White House race was hit by a war of words.

Stop Obama's Dirty Tricks

Republicans have launched a new, powerful ad exposing Obama's radical agenda and his dirty little secret.

I think it will knock your socks off.

This 30-second ad exposes Obama's 'dirty little secret the media won't talk about' - his radical plan to give illegal aliens Social Security benefits and Medicaid, full healthcare coverage.

By Obama's own count there are 12 million illegal aliens in the U.S. and he wants them all getting government benefits.

Obama has stated he also wants to give each and everyone of them amnesty and citizenship.

As for them learning English, he has stated he thinks American kids, your kids, should learn Spanish.

There is no doubt this man is the most radical leftist ever nominated by the Democratic party.

We have already exposed Obama's shocking plan to give illegals driver's licenses - even though everyone knows the 9/11 plot began with 13 of the 19 terrorists getting driver's licenses.

As the American people find out about Obama and his plans, they will turn on him.

McCain can still win this.

Charles Krauthammer :: Townhall.com Columnist
McCain the Stalwart
by Charles Krauthammer
WASHINGTON -- Contrarian that I am, I'm voting for John McCain. I'd rather lose an election than lose my bearings.
The case for McCain is straightforward. The financial crisis has made us forget, or just blindly deny, how dangerous the world out there is. We have a generations-long struggle with Islamic jihadism. An apocalyptic soon-to-be-nuclear Iran. A nuclear-armed Pakistan in danger of fragmentation. A rising Russia pushing the limits of revanchism. Plus the sure-to-come Falklands-like surprise popping out of nowhere.

Who do you want answering that phone at 3 a.m.? A man who's been cramming on these issues for the last year, who's never had to make an executive decision affecting so much as a city, let alone the world? A foreign policy novice instinctively inclined to the flabbiest, most vaporous multilateralism (e.g., the Berlin Wall came down because of "a world that stands as one"), and who refers to the most deliberate act of war since Pearl Harbor as "the tragedy of 9/11," a term more appropriate for a bus accident?

Or do you want a man who is the most prepared, most knowledgeable, most serious foreign policy thinker in the United States Senate? A man who not only has the best instincts, but has the honor and the courage to, yes, put country first, as when he carried the lonely fight for the surge that turned Iraq from catastrophic defeat into achievable strategic victory?

There's just no comparison. Obama's own running mate warned this week that Obama's youth and inexperience will invite a crisis -- indeed a crisis "generated" precisely to test him. Can you be serious about national security and vote on Nov. 4 to invite that test?

And how will he pass it? Well, how has he fared on the only two significant foreign policy tests he has faced since he's been in the Senate? The first was the surge. Obama failed spectacularly. He not only opposed it. He tried to denigrate it, stop it and, finally, deny its success.

The second test was Georgia, to which Obama responded instinctively with evenhanded moral equivalence, urging restraint on both sides. McCain did not have to consult his advisers to instantly identify the aggressor.

Today's economic crisis, like every other in our history, will in time pass. But the barbarians will still be at the gates. Whom do you want on the parapet? I'm for the guy who can tell the lion from the lamb.

I'll have no truck with the phony case ginned up to rationalize voting for the most liberal and inexperienced presidential nominee in living memory.

Biden Predicts Unstable Times Under Obama

Lower Gas And Oil Prices:
Oil State Instability

By Don White

In this time of financial meltdown, it is important to remember that job creation has a direct relationship to oil prices, as well as to capital availability. Now that the price of oil has dropped below $70 when it was almost $150 just three months ago, there is reason for Americans to again be optimistic. It takes oil prices like we have today to sustain many industries, two of which are the airline and auto industries. But it also applies to farming and virtually everything made in factories fueled by fosil fuel. And, don't forget, 40 percent of our fuel consumption in America is taken up in homes and businesses. Job creation is directly related to the price of a gallon of gasoline in the US.

The price of oil is at $74.25 a barrel, its closing price Monday in New York, It was at $147 as recently as three months ago.

Oil prices also affect what oil producing nations can afford to spend. Russia, China, Venezuela, and Iran have stepped up their spending, and job creation, based on faulty assumptions that oil may always stay at or around $147 per barrel. We are not saying now that the prices have dropped that any of the countries is facing immediate economic disaster or will abandon long-held political goals. And the price of oil, still double what was considered high just a few years ago, could always shoot back up.

Still, Russia, Iran and Venezuela have all based their spending on oil prices they thought were conservative but are now close to the market level. Significant further drops could tip the three countries into deficit spending or at least force them to choose among priorities. A worldwide recession, which many economists say is likely, would worsen matters, dampening energy demand and holding down prices.

It is not clear whether the new pressures could create opportunities for the United States to ease tensions, or whether the three countries’ leaders will rely more on angry words even if they cannot afford provocative actions. Mr. Chávez has continued his overtures to Russia. He, Prime Minister Vladimir V. Putin of Russia and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran may now see the United States, hobbled by financial crisis, as even more vulnerable.

Daniel Yergin, chairman of Cambridge Energy Research Associates, a consulting firm in Cambridge, Mass., said oil states were facing something of a reckoning. Originally, he said, they saw the economic crisis as a problem mainly for the United States — but then oil prices went into free fall.

“Now, the producers are experiencing a reverse oil shock,” Mr. Yergin said. “As revenue went up, government spending went up and expectations of a continuing windfall led to greater and greater ambitions. Now they are finding how integrated they are into this globalized world.”

Chávez was almost euphoric last month when he announced that Venezuela would engage in naval exercises with the Russian Navy in the Caribbean. He could see some semblance of Venezuela's long-hoped for hegemony over the US. “Go ahead and squeal, Yanquis,” he said. “Russia’s naval fleet is welcome here.”

The moment, made possible in part by a flood of petrodollars used to buy Russian weaponry, must have been sweet for a man who has spent his presidency wagging his finger at the United States and railing against its capitalist model. Cozying up to Russia, whose leaders have been increasingly at odds with the United States, evoked cold war rivalries in the hemisphere.

Mr. Chávez has also used his oil money — in direct payments and through subsidized oil shipments — to win friends in the hemisphere and elsewhere, including President Evo Morales of Bolivia, who expelled the United States ambassador in La Paz last month, saying the envoy was involved in plotting a coup. There was actual fighting in Bolivia among government and opposition forces. So much so that the conservative Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which had more than 100 missionaries in Bolivia, quickly moved them from harms way into Chile and Peru.

If you ever want a bell weather of how politically stable a country is, look to see if it has Mormon missionaries. If not, beware.

Domestic spending in Venezuela has also surged, through the creation of a wide array of social welfare programs that furthered Mr. Chávez’s goal of building a socialist-inspired state — and suppressed opposition. The 2009 budget, based on $60-a-barrel oil, includes a 23 percent increase in government spending, to $78.9 billion. Some of that amount accounted for new job creation and hopes for a better economy.

At $140 a barrel for oil, that was conservative. With prices now uncomfortably close to $60 a barrel, economists in Venezuela are expressing alarm over the government’s ability to pay its bills, including those for arms purchases.

Venezuelans are already struggling with an inflation rate of 36 percent, one of the highest in the world. Thanks to Bush's conservative agenda, inflation has been held to 2.36%--something we don't hear Democrats talk about but with which Republicans should take comfort. That's something Democrats and Republicans alike should be happy about along with the security we enjoy in America. For that, thank the Bush administration and its aggressive anti-terrorist campaign and the wars in the Middle East. With the Democrats in power, expect an errosion of that feeling of security, especially if Obama continues to court people like Louis Farrakhan, William Ayers, Jeramiah Wright, and his commie buddies that he says he would feel comfortable calling to the White House for talks without preconditions. So far we have not had another 9/11, but Joe Biden predicts if Obama is elected within six months he will be confronted with a challenge of leadership, something Bush has mastered. A similar challenge of leadership is not predicted for John McCain because of his vast foreign policy experience. Foreign nations will be less apt to "test" the tough McCain than an inexperienced Obama.

Because of this, if Obama is elected look for unstable times, both foreign and domestic, and aggressive behavior by our adversaries that did not occur with Bush but are likely with Obama. Employment worldwide thrives in times other than those predicted for Obama.

Demos Can't Take The Heat of Terrorist Associations

Who Cares About The Candidates' Health?

Dr. Lawrence Altman wrote another op-ed piece that the NY Times printed. But as I pointed out, it had nothing to do with his narrow-minded opinion that none of the four candidates provided adequate (for him) medical records, and everything to do with Altman's liberal stands. Actually, McCain did provide 12 pages from his doctors, but little can satisfy a liberal doctor.

Here's what I said in my comments to this silly, nonessential Times article.

October 20th, 2008 2:13 pm
"Dr. Altman got his article past the Times review board based on its political content, not the medical part. I really don't care about the health of all four candidates. If you believed in our Constitution you wouldn't either. Especially you libs including the Times who will see your beloved incompetent Nancy Pelosi become president if two candidates from either party die or become incapacitated in office. I believe I would take her brand of liberalism over Obama's socialism any day."

The following I added for this blog: "But of course Pelosi, too, is a million light years away from what the American want and deserve. Her head is never screwed on properly and she grasps very little already without being declared incompetent by Dr. Altman. Take care of that, Doctor, next time you see her."

Romney's Words on Illegal Alien Licensing Still Valid

Obama's Plan: Give Licenses To Illegal Aliens

These are not my words, but I agree with them entirely. They are the words of Maricopa County (AZ) Sheriff Joe Arpaio on Governor Romney's Record posted January 5, 2008 on the PRIMARY NEWS 2008 NEW HAMPSHIRE blog. Since we are revisiting Obama's plan to license all illegal alients, let's see what a brighter mind had to say. What Mitt Romney said then still stands valid today, lest we forget. Had it not been for a quirk of fate (a mild way of saying it) in the Florida Primary Romney, not McCain, could have been the Republican presidential nominee. He was the best in both party primaries.

This is the final debate before voters will go to the polls in the 2008 general election on November 4. From Getty Images.
"I like his [Governor Romney's] stance on illegal immigration. If you recall, he's probably the first Governor that did make arrangements with ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) for that type of training that ICE and we do. I give him a lot of credit for that. … It is an important problem in the state of Arizona and the whole country. That's one reason I support the Governor, versus many other reasons too. Unfortunately, we have a U.S. Senator from that important state [Arizona] that doesn't give much emphasis to this most important problem."

Rockingham County [NH] Attorney Jim Reams: "We're very frustrated that nothing has been done. I'm here supporting Governor Romney because he's a can-do person, and he understands this issue and he wants to fix it. I'm here to say please fix it. The entire system is frustrated with the failure to do so. I'm confident that Governor Romney will make it happen."

    • Secure The Border. Governor Romney will follow through on the Congressional commitment to build a physical and technological fence along the southern border, and secure other points of entry throughout the country.
    • Implement A Mandatory And Enforceable Employment Verification System. Governor Romney will issue a biometrically-enabled and tamper-proof card to non-citizens and create a national database so employers can easily verify the legal status of non-citizens in this country.
    • Hold Employers Accountable. Governor Romney will make it easier for employers to verify legal status and work authorization of non-citizens through a federal database. Employers will be held accountable if they hire illegal immigrants with stiffer fines and penalties.
    • Reject Amnesty. Governor Romney opposes amnesty or any special path to citizenship for those here illegally.
    • End The Magnet Of "Sanctuary Cities." Governor Romney will cut back federal funding to cities that are "sanctuaries" for illegal immigrants.
    • Oppose Any Special Benefits For Illegal Immigrants. Governor Romney opposes giving driver's licenses or in-state tuition to those here illegally. He believes states should not provide those types of incentives. As President, he will cut back federal funding to states that do so.
    • Promote State And Local Partnerships With Federal Immigration Officials. More state and local authorities should work with the federal government to enforce immigration laws.
    • Improve Interior Enforcement. Governor Romney will provide additional resources to enforce existing immigration laws throughout the nation.
    • Teach English In Our Schools. Governor Romney believes we must teach English in our classrooms because to be successful you have to speak the language of America.
    • End Chain Migration. Governor Romney believes we should end the policy of chain migration that says if a child is born here to illegal immigrants then, by right, the entire family is brought in based upon that child's citizenship.
    • Encourage Legal Immigration. Governor Romney will streamline the visa system to recruit and retain skilled workers in high demand by U.S. companies. He will also welcome the best and the brightest from around the world to our universities.

    Obama's Plan:
Mohamed Atta Gets His Driver's License

    f

    Dear Fellow American:

We have just weeks to go before Election Day . . . time is running short for us to avert a major disaster for our country. That disaster's name is President Barack Obama.

But this disaster can be averted. I'm confident about this — even though the slanted media are overstating Obama's inevitability.

    But the numbers don't lie.

The latest Zogby poll had John McCain trailing Obama by two points. Just two points!

Despite the full-court press to destroy McCain and Sarah Palin, Katie Couric's antics against her, and a daily onslaught of media spin . . . McCain is still within striking distance.

The stakes have never been higher for the future of the country.

We either patriotically turn the country over to a man who has proudly served his nation in war time and peace — or we face electing a man who has a checkered past, a man who has counted domestic terrorists among his friends, and a man who spent 15 years in a church where his pastor regularly damned and condemned the United States.

Barack Obama is not simply a risky choice as our next president —
    He is a dangerous one.

This is why I have taken the helm here at the National Republican Trust Political Action Committee.

Here at the National Republican Trust, we understand our mission. It's simple. It will also drive the left-wing media nuts.

Here's the plan: We will tell the American people the truth about Barack Obama!

Every time John McCain or Sarah Palin tries to tell the truth about Obama, they are painted as mean-spirited and negative.

We here at the National Republican Trust can do the job McCain and Palin can't.

But we need your help. Time is urgent — it's crunch time.

    Should America Engage Iran Now?

    Obama Likes Iran

In arguing that Barack Obama is right about talking to Iran, Vali Nasr offers only one point on which the U.S. and Iran can agree, "the independence and territorial integrity of Georgia" ("Obama Is Right About Talking to Iran," op-ed, Oct. 13).

But is that one insignificant and meaningless declaration sufficient as a basis for the U.S. president to engage Iran? Mr. Nasr neither discusses nor offers any prospect for a useful dialogue with Iran about matters of consequence, such as Iran's drive to become a nuclear power, achieving hegemony over the Middle East and its unceasing efforts to destroy Israel, which it does by supporting Hamas on Israel's southern border and Hezbollah on the northern border.

Nor does Mr. Nasr's support for Sen. Obama's declared willingness to meet with the clerical regime in Iran take into account that such acceptance of rule by the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei government in Iran would demoralize the majority of the Iranian people who do not recognize the right of the religious fanatics who took over the government by force to rule over them.

Joe The Plumber Is a Real Person

    2008 Campaign

‘Joe the Plumber’ Is Under Scrutiny
    Jim Young/Reuters
    The Caucus
‘Joe the Plumber’ Is Under Scrutiny

It seems that he is not a licensed plumber, and his full name is Samuel J. Wurzelbacher. Above, Mr. Wurzelbacher spoke to Senator Barack Obama on Sunday.

    Joe The Plumber Wins Debate

    By Murray Morovitz

Based on the number of times the name of Joe Wurzelbacher of Ohio came up, he clearly scored more points in the debate than Barak Obama and John McCain.

In this crazy presidential election, now two years stale, is the American public tired of both Obama and McCain? Is this little-known man affectionately called Joe the Plumber by both candidates really at the heart of a national debate that has confounded experts? Could he hold the simple answers everyone has been seeking but that have eluded the smartest people alive?

There are a growing number of insiders from both political camps who are sorely disappointed with their candidates. But they look around shaking their heads at those they could have nominated. No one comes to mind. But suddenly Joe the Plumber roars onto the political scene like a white knight driving a golden broken- down plumbing van. Is he the perfect metaphor, the perfect man for the job?

Could it be that Joe has enough time--just 19 days--to sweep the nation into a frenzy and captivate the minds and hearts of voters enough to vote for him as a "write-in" presidential candidate.

He could be the only true outsider, the only man capable of straightening out Washington. All the others are inside impostors. Could he be the missing link Americans have been seeking? Listen to him, and you be the judge.

It has never been done before.

But this is a year of firsts, so why not Joe?
    • first black man to win the Democratic nomination
    • first woman to run for vice president
    • first 72-year-old war hero who can hardly walk and raise his hand above his elbow to run for president.
    • first year a Joe The Plumber has won a national debate.
In a world of firsts, Joe bursts onto the scene like a ratchet wrench from heaven. I can see it now. All the major news outlets and networks are at his door.

Q: "Which party affiliation will you run on, Joe?"

    A: :"Neither. They both stink.

Q: What platform do you stand on?

A: Joe looks down at his feet and replies: I'm standing on the front porch platform. I'm here at home. I've got six kids in school, bills are piling up, Meg, that's my wife, and I want to buy this business, see, and I don't want to be taxed to death. Is that clear enough for youst?

Q: So, it looks like you believe in families, right?

A: Right. Families are what made this country great. Without a husband and wife making kids who grow up and take our place this country goes to the dogs. See what I mean?

Q: You have been most succinct, sir. You also alluded to your house. Apparently you have saved it from foreclosure, right? What do you suggest to get us out of this financial mess we're in.

A: My house is not going to foreclosure, and that's because I pay my bills just like 95 percent of Americans do. I'm angry. Can you tell? It's only those dumb b.....tards who speculated and bought two houses when they couldn't even afford one that got us in this pickle. I propose we put them all on a plane and send them to Alaska. Make fishers out of them. Let them live in the wilds a few years, enjoy the $1200-a-year oil relief Governor Palin gives those people. In five years, if they want to return to the mainland and have demonstrated they will never do it again, thens when we fly dem back here, but no sooner.

Q; But what would you do to the executives of Fannie and Freddie and to the politicians on both sides of the isle who made the rules to allow those speculators to operate. What would you do to them?

A: Alaska's too good for them. We put all dose people on a plane and send dem to Siberia--if Putin will take em. Make common laborers out of them for five years. If they learn their lesson, we fly em to Alaska for five more years. Then, if they have truly repented, they can come back to America, which by then we can truly call America the beautiful.

The press is deathly silent and dumbfounded.

One TV announcer tells his audience, "There you have it folks. That's Joe the Plumber's solution to the financial crisis. He's passionate, he's angry, he's attractive and most of all he loves America. Those are pretty drastic measures he proposes, but America needs someone who will talk straight, who will get right to the root of the problem. We think he hit a home run today. We think he can unite Americans on both sides.

"There will be more from this common man. We may syndicate his thoughts each day, and I believe most of America will be hanging on his every word from now to November 6th."

What Did Brown Dig Up On Obama?

Why Is Obama Afraid to Admit He Was Born and Raised Muslim?

Being a Black Muslim doesn't disqualify him for running for President, so why won't he be honest about it?

Maybe it's because of what Floyd Brown dug up from Obama's distant and not-so-distant past...

What was Obama's father doing with communist organizers just days before the Cuban Missile Crisis?

What did Obama mean when he described the Muslim call to prayer as "one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset"?

Does Obama's supposed conversion to Christianity make him an apostate "whose blood may be shed" by the devout nutcases in Islam?

When Obama was a full-time slacker-doing drugs and drinking heavily, did it stunt his development in any way?

Has Obama changed since he spoke of the "coldness of capitalism" and told his communist mentor he was "a spy behind enemy lines"?

And what about Michelle? When she says she's obligated to put blacks before whites, is she just pandering, or is she speaking honestly?

With the Obamas often not on speaking terms, which of them would be sleeping on the couch in the White House?

    One of the Muslim schools
    Obama attended in Indonesia.

Back when he was an Illinois Senator, why did Obama vote "Present" a record-setting 129 times? Is that leadership? Is that "change"?

When Obama did vote on important issues, why did he vote the "Democratic Socialists of America" party line every time? (You could call that "change" but not the kind we need!)

How easily can Obama be bought? Unsealing the federal indictment against his close pal and fundraiser (and convicted felon) Tony "the Fixer" Rezko should reveal plenty.

Earlier we spoke of two revelations in Obama Unmasked that may well blow the lid off this election. Okay, first, a source close to the mad billionaire George Soros has revealed that Soros is planning...

You also have the option of getting multiple copies for distribution to family and friends. Everyone should see this vital information that rips the mask from Barack Obama.

Geffen's "November Surprise" Could Trick Millions into Voting for Obama and Make Soros a Fortune.

    A dirty Chicago machine
    made Obama, and will be
    expecting blood loyalty...

Soros' lefty candidates have lost the last two elections, and he's pissing mad. He has $7 billion to spend to get it right this time! He is reportedly planning to sack the U.S. economy, make himself billions richer, and put Obama in the White House marching to his mad tune. All the details, as well as how you'll be affected financially, are in the book.

And out on the left coast, Obama has a powerful ally in billionaire Hollywood mogul David Geffen.

Nobody knows how to spin a yarn better than Hollywood's finest, David Geffen. And according to our source, he'll be a whirling dervish!

Radical leftists see Obama as their ticket to power-and they are pulling out all the stops. Not just an October Surprise, but a November Surprise as well. The first from New York, the second from Hollywood.

We may be in for the craziest election ever, with so many unknowns...

That's why Floyd has worked so hard to peel back the mask and reveal the real Obama, his true political leanings, and what we could expect from an Obama presidency.

Few books are written in hopes of being unnecessary in just a few months-but this is one of those books. Our hope is that this book will be remaindered on November 5th because Obama has been told by voters that he's not ready for such an important job.

Our fear is that voters will say otherwise.

And if everyone who gets a copy passes it to someone else before the election, then maybe we can stop the radical left from putting Obama in the White House and their socialist stamp on our nation.

    ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Floyd Brown gained notoriety with his book Slick Willy: Why America Cannot Trust Bill Clinton and his famous "Willie Horton" ad that sank Dukakis in 1988. He also founded Citizens United, served as Executive Director of Young America's Foundation, and worked for four presidential candidates, beginning with Ronald Reagan.

After serving as a press aide in the Reagan White House, Lee Troxler wrote Along Wit's Trail: The Humor & Wisdom of Ronald Reagan. More recently he wrote and helped produce 3 movies-Hillary: the Movie; On Native Soil: The Documentary of the 9/11 Commission Report; FahrenHYPE 9/11.

Both authors spend more time in business than politics, but as this election unfolded they were moved to action. They watched as a young Senator with a 1-page resume was lifted up onto the world's mightiest pedestal simply because he was black, handsome, and articulate. So the authors began asking

How a President Obama Would Fail

How Would a President Obama Respond to These Madmen?

Late on the night of January 20, 2009, the next Commander-in-Chief will be driven from the inaugural festivities to the Oval Office where he will be met by a national security staff ready with a "Threat Briefing."

Will the lunatic Iranian President Ahmadinejad be moving nuclear missiles into Venezuela, pointed north?

Will Russian stormtroopers be marching southward, trying to reclaim their lost glory by reigniting the Cold War?

Will Syria's Assad be ready to hammer Tel Aviv through his Lebanese proxies?

And what of the other unhinged madmen in Venezuela, North Korea, the Sudan, Zimbabwe, Burma, and the caves of Afghanistan? All kinds of bad boys are hanging around the global water cooler these days...

Obama with Arafat Advisor Edward Said at an anti-Israel fundraiser.
By his own account, Obama would consider it a priority to meet at once with every evil thug out there - without precondition.

A stroll down the Champs Elysees with Ahmadinejad would make a rare photo opp - two men of Muslim heritage, there in an emerging Muslim nation, one of them holding a knife behind his back.

How did America get to the point when a greenhorn like Obama could be within a breath of the Presidency?

    And while we're asking...

Why are so many Islamofascists who are sworn to the destruction of America also actively campaigning for Obama?

What special rights would Muslims demand, and receive, from Obama?

Farrakhan fires up Nation of Islam to march for Obama.

After refusing to condemn MoveOn.org for calling General Petraeus a war criminal, how could Obama be an effective Commander-in-Chief?

These are a few of the foreign policy issues answered in Obama Unmasked.

Then there are the questions about the homefront...

After Obama raises taxes the first time but doesn't get the revenue he thinks he needs, will he raise taxes a second time? And how high?

Would Obama put a gun to the head of an unborn child, but ban all other uses of that gun?

One Obama says he will force states to allow same-sex marriages. The other Obama says states can make their own decisions. Which of these two Obama's is lying?

What did Obama promise union bosses to convince them to commit more than ONE BILLION DOLLARS to winning this election?

Will ObamaCare drive good doctors out of healthcare and leave us to the mercy of, well, of who?

Do businessmen truly understand the tangle of workplace regulations they'll see from Obama's labor watchdogs?

Will the senior posts in an Obama Administration be filled with nutcase preachers, shifty Chicago radicals, Clinton retreads, or all three?

And, in the final analysis, is it fair to conclude that Obama offers only the simple slogan of "change" because he has little else to offer?

    Obama's oldest friend in
    politics is a murderer and
    unrepentant terrorist.
    Why are they friends?

He has been completely masked by his handlers in Hollywood, New York, and Washington. His very survival as a candidate now depends on his keeping that mask snugly fit.

That's why Obama Unmasked is so important. And that's why your help is desperately needed to rip away the mask and let the voting public see what they'd really be getting with Obama as President.

Please use this opportunity to order at least one copy of Obama Unmasked, enjoy a great read, then share it widely!

And remember, when you get Obama Unmasked and then tell at least five friends to get a copy as well - you'll help to stop the Obama media machine from rolling right over an unsuspecting electorate.

    Floyd Brown Unmasks Barak Obama

What are the two secrets that will rip the mask from Obama's young face and reveal his charade for what it is-phantom liberalism?

    Floyd Brown has the answers!

And who better to begin the unmasking than Floyd Brown, the man who has loyally served the conservative cause since the Reagan years. Floyd's search for the real man behind the mask took him onto 3 continents, into the slums of South Chicago, up into New York's power suites, and out to Hollywood...

Floyd had no interest in attacking Obama with base accusations or wild smears. He aimed for the simple facts...

    Would the mad
    billionaire George
    Soros run wild in an
    Obama White House?

But what he uncovered - especially two plots being hatched by George Soros and David Geffen to steal the White House for Obama - were the most damning things we've ever seen in politics.

There are several good books on Obama, and I applaud them all. But no other book reveals these two secret plots, plots which clearly explain how Obama rose to power so quickly and how dearly we'll all pay if he wins.

These plots could be as damaging to Obama as Deep Throat was to Nixon or Whitewater to Clinton. When these revelations hit the streets, they'll he hotter than a liberal hawking global warming.

If Obama fails in his bid, it will be because of new discoveries about the people who brought him into this world, who groomed him for this moment, who now see themselves on the cusp of controlling a superpower--a lifelong dream of these people, these handlers.

So I am asking you to get Obama Unmasked and then tell at least five friends to get a copy as well - that's how we'll stop the Obama media machine from rolling right over an unsuspecting electorate.

Washington Post Is A Liberal Feast

    by Don White
If you read the Washington Post, be ready for more of that liberal hay they like to feed their livestock. In essence it is " it's sure nice the Republicans are being put out to pasture so the Democrats can run wild." One particularly vexing read was that of writer Eugene Robinson, something about "Outward Bound." I wrote a rebuttal as a comment to his tirade against Republicanism. It goes like this:

Eugene, you're too good a writer to be taken in by all this liberal brainwash. I've read your comments and those of your readers, which are running 2-1 against what you said.

    Let me weigh in:

Obama would be a disaster for America, especially at this time. He has proven he knows nothing about national security--in fact he couldn't even get a security clearance if he tried to at say Lockheed Martin that makes missiles and honning-in detection devices, because of his ties to a known terrorist and his interest in Penny Pritzker, his national campaign fund raiser chair, because of her ties to Iran's Ahmadinejad whom she hosted recently at her hotel. He's a known threat to the security of both Israel and the US.

On tax issues, Obama is a threat to the peace and stability of our country. His program of raising taxes--and then lying about it--will be the wrong medicine to a country trying to come out of a financial melt-down, which by the way was caused partly by Obama himself with his and Barney Frank's insistence that we lower lending standards in America, thus allowing people who shouldn't have had a loan to get loans that couldn't be paid back because these people didn't really qualify until this racial thing ACORN and the Democrats spouted became a national issue.

Obama stated that he would not raise taxes on people earning less than $250,000. However, he voted in the Senate to let the Bush tax cuts expire. He has never--repeat--never voted to lower taxes.

    What do you call that?

Taking away the Bush tax cuts is no different than RAISING your taxes. It will not just raise the taxes of those earning over $250,000 it will be for EVERY American--100% across the board.

Go to www.neverfindout.org or my blog http://angstblogger.blogspot.com to learn about the dangers of an Obama Presidency.

This is only the beginning. Obama said he would remove the ceiling on Social Security (FICA) tax. That is a 6.2% tax increase on those people earning over $102,000.

If you are self-employed, that increase is 12.4%. That is just the beginning!

He only mentioned earnings. What about un-earned income, such as savings interest or dividends on your investments?

Many of us have retirement or college savings plans. The dividends accumulated in those funds will be taxed.

His increase in Capital Gains taxes by 13%, from 15% - 28% will take care of that.

What about the pensions our seniors, of whom I'm one, who are already collecting? Their pension checks are probably coming from mutual funds.

If you fall into that category, you can look for a 13% increase in Capital Gains Tax, which will reduce your retirement income.

Go to my other website, http://politicaldisconnect.blogspot.com to learn about the dangers of an Obama Presidency. .

Democrat Barack Obama is someone we all should fear. And with a Democrat Congress and a Democrat president, he will run roughshod over the working class and the higher-salaried professional class in this country, and many blacks in Congress will interpret this as their best chance to in one term to make up for 150 years of perceived social and racial injustice. You will see a resurgence of the ugly head of affirmative action, one-worldism, taxation, socialism, even Marxism. Obama talks big, but this is the same man that wants to expand our government.

Obama promised to raise taxes on those big bad corporations; those big bad corporations that gave you a job. Pray you do not work for one of them. If you do, next holiday season you may not be standing on the checkout line in your favorite gift store. You'll more likely be standing on the unemployment line instead.

Obama's total disregard to reform the Government Sponsored Enterprises (GSE's) has helped create the devastation that has led us to the biggest financial crisis in American history. He is part of the problem.

The media has stated that, "Obama benefitted politically from the financial crisis."

Guess who received campaign contributions from the people who drove Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae into the ground?

Barack Obama, Christopher Dodd and John Kerry.

Who will be Obama's financial advisors in his cabinet? Think of the people with whom he has already aligned himself:

    * Franklin Raines, who cooked the books at Fannie Mae and walked away with $90 million; Do you want him as Secretary of the Treasury?

    * Jim Johnson, who was on his Vice Presidential search committee, was the former CEO of Fannie Mae. Would you want him to be appointed the Director of the Office of Management and Budget by a President Obama?

If this is what you want, Obama is your man. However, if you really want to know where your next meal is coming from, then share this message with your friends and family NOW. Time is short. Obama has millions of dollars to pay for fancy TV ads. Don't be fooled. He isn't the harmless guy down the street. Well, he is if your name is Terrorist William Ayers or Louis Farrakhan, a Muslim fanatic who believes Obama is the Messiah

Obama And the NY Times Are Ecstatic

Columnist Paul Krugman wins Nobel economics prize

Paul Krugman, the Princeton University scholar, New York Times columnist and unabashed liberal, won the Nobel prize in economics Monday for his analysis of how economies of scale can affect international trade patterns. But he's more interested in bashing the Republicans and siding with Obama than figuring out how economics works.

Just off the ticker tape: We just learned that Sweden's King Carl XVI is an appeaser, a Social Democrat and member of the Liberal Party all at once, AKA, a raving idiot liberal. Before Obama politically gets into bed with him, he should know that the Liberal Party of Sweden supported the invasion of Iraq, but stopped short of demanding Swedish participation in the US-led "coalition of the willing".

We've known all along that only liberal economists get those Nobel prizes. We've also known how liberal Sweden is, what with free love, a form of socialism, and all.

Back to Krugman. This raving idiot has been a harsh critic of the Bush administration and the Republican Party in The New York Times, where he writes a regular column and has a blog called "Conscience of a Liberal." When you go there leave some disagreeing "funny stupid faces." Tell them you didn't know that anyone with liberal spots had a conscience.

He has also taken the Bush administration to task over the current financial meltdown, blaming its pursuit of deregulation and unencumbered fiscal policies for the financial crisis that has threatened the global economy with recession. If Republicans are complicit in it, so are social Democrats--Barney Frank, Chuck Schumer, Barak Obama and their ilk for getting Mae and Mac to lower lending standards for all their poor constituents who couldn't afford a house but wanted one anyhow.

    Liberal Economist Tied To Obama

Barak Obama and the liberal establishment are so excited they're hitting their heads on the ceiling (That's only one reason Obama has no sense). It's in celebration of one of their kind winning the 2008 Nobel Prize in Economics. They would say I'm being racist by saying "one of their kind."

I know what's going on inside Barak's head. This guy Krugman is great, he's thinking. Now I can ditch that stodgy Jeffrey Liebman, a Harvard economist and get Krugman. Heartland America is edgy about everyone coming from Harvard these days and I'm a little short on fresh news.

You know that Obama's reasoning power is not only limited but flawed, but right now he's saying to himself: Oh, boy! Now's my chance to deep-six Liebman, he's a left-over from Hillary Clinton and I don't really agree with his wanting to privatize social security. I'm a big-government supporter but I'll break it to the Republicans after November 6th so I don't create an old-folks-style backlash. An obvious back-handed age slur at McCain.

The Nobel Prizes in medicine, chemistry, physics, literature and economics will be handed out in Stockholm by Sweden's King Carl XVI on Dec. 10, the anniversary of prize founder Alfred Nobel's death in 1896. The Nobel Peace Prize is handed out in Oslo, Norway, on the same date. Can you believe those Swedes. When someone dies, they celebrate by awarding prizes on that very day!

    More Obama Thought Patterns:
It's going to be great. Krugman has been a longtime opponent of the "trickle-down" economic theory. Now I win that debate and McCain curls up in a corner and dies. Goody-goody for me. I can see it now. Won't it be grand! I'll be president and on hand in Sweden when these prizes are awarded. It's such great theater for me to be there. The cameras will be popping all over the place and I'll be there standing next to King Gustav. Maybe I can even get him to let me take his place and award those ribbons and medals. I just love cameras.

Perhaps better known as a columnist than an economist to the public, Krugman has also come out forcefully against John McCain during the economic meltdown, saying the Republican presidential candidate is "more frightening now than he was a few weeks ago." Krugman (pronounced KROOG-man, like you've got a bad sore throat) also has derided the Republicans as becoming "the party of stupid." How dare him!

Tore Ellingsen, a member of the prize committee, acknowledged that Krugman was an "opinion maker" but added that he was honored on the merits of his economic research, not his political commentary. Sure, he was!

"We disregard everything except for the scientific merits," Ellingsen told The Associated Press. Everything?

The 55-year-old American economist was the lone winner of the 10 million kronor ($1.4 million) award and the latest in a string of American researchers to be honored. He will be sorry. Obama will want to make his tax increases effective starting December First so Krugman can give up seventy-five percent of it to Washington to help pay for the war he so much hates. It was only the second time since 2000 that a single laureate won the prize, which is typically shared by two or three researchers.

Not one to tone down his opinions, Krugman has compared the current financial crisis to the devastation of the 1930s.

"We are now witnessing a crisis that is as severe as the crisis that hit Asia in the 90's. This crisis bears some resemblance to the Great Depression," Krugman told reporters Monday.

But he was optimistic that a global effort aimed at stemming the financial blood loss had taken root. Notice, he didn't give Bush well-deserved credit for marshaling the international heads of state.

"I'm slightly less terrified today than I was on Friday," he said, referring to the weekend crisis talks among European leaders that led to the nationalization of British banks, unlimited access to U.S. dollars to banks worldwide and efforts to stave off a global recession.

In contrast to his treatment of U.S. officials, Krugman has praised Britain's financial leaders for their nimble response to the credit crisis.

In a column Monday in the New York Times, Krugman wrote that British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Chancellor Alistair Darling "defined the character of the worldwide rescue effort, with other wealthy nations playing catch-up."

Whereas U.S. Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson at first rejected giving financial institutions more money in return for a share of ownership, the British government "went straight to the heart of the problem ... with stunning speed," he wrote.

"And whaddya know," Krugman continued, "Mr. Paulson — after arguably wasting several precious weeks — has also reversed course, and now plans to buy equity stakes rather than bad mortgage securities." The Democrats want to own the world and they're starting by wanting to own and nationalize all the banks. Socialism, here it comes.

The Bush administration would not comment Monday on whether Krugman would be invited to the White House as is custom with American Nobel laureates. May I suggest that everyone eamil the president and forclose on that possibility. Krugman's up to no good.

The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences praised Krugman for formulating a new theory to answer questions about free trade and said his theory had inspired an enormous field of research.

"What are the effects of free trade and globalization? What are the driving forces behind worldwide urbanization? Paul Krugman has formulated a new theory to answer these questions," the academy said in its citation.

I can tell you who's responsible for urbanization and I didn't even go to Stanford, Yale, Princeton or Harvard. It's Al Gore and all this global warming nonsense. Too many cars in the cities. Let's all take a trek to the country. Buy up all the old and abandoned farms and start milking cows again.

"He has thereby integrated the previously disparate research fields of international trade and economic geography," it said. Good, pretty soon we can eliminate one cabinet member.

The award, known as the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences, is the last of the six Nobel prizes announced this year and is not one of the original Nobels. It was created in 1968 by the Swedish central bank in Alfred Nobel's memory. It was probably a nationalized bank.

In addition to his work as an economist at Princeton University in New Jersey, where he has been since 2000, Krugman has written for Foreign Affairs, the Harvard Business Review and Scientific American, among other publications. How about for Yankee Wizard, MLB.com, LoHud Yankees Blog, Replacement Level Yankees, Pending Pinstripes, or Bronx Bombers? I'll bet he hasn't written for any of them, so how good can he be?

He graduated with a bachelor's degree from Yale in 1974 and received a Ph.D. from MIT in 1977. Besides teaching at Yale and MIT, he also taught at Stanford. Wow! he's actually traveled across the Missouri River.

Krugman said winning the Nobel award won't change his approach to research and writing. It won't go to his head either or make him an egoist. It can't, he's already performing on that level.

"I'm a great believer in continuing to do work," he told reporters. "I hope that two weeks from now I'm back to being pretty much the same person I was before." So. . .he admits he's on cloud nine and not the same guy his wife came in with. Settle down, Kroog, you'll get over all this publicity. Maybe all the money, too, when Uncle Sam takes his bite out of you.

Krugman's work on new trade theory also garnered him the John Bates Clark medal from the American Economic Association in 1991. That prize is given every two years to an economist under the age of 40. There they go again, age discrimination at its worst!

The Nobel citation said Krugman's approach is based on the premise that many goods and services can be produced at less cost in a long series, a concept known as economies of scale. His research showed the effects of that on trade patterns. I think Adam Smith and Henry Ford discovered economics of scale and it's affects on selling cars, you idiot. The adacity of someone like you who is as bad as Joe Biden, a plagerist.

"Trade theory, like much of economics, used to be discussed in the context of perfect competition: thousands of farmers and thousands of customers meeting in a market," with supply and demand governing prices, said Avinash Dixit, a Princeton professor and economist who specializes in trade theory. Well, that theory was discredited last week at Publix grocery store here in Orlando, Florida. We had a thousand customers wanting a thousand bananas and half of them were rotten so they had to throw them out, except they lowered the price for the rotten ones. No, the bananas, not the customers, stupid! These theories are so theoretical, aren't they?

Gradually, people began to realize that conditions in the market were less than perfect, and the small number of companies in some industries had economies of scale that changed the trade equation. Everyone knows that...what did I just say?

"Krugman was the main person who brought all the theory together, recognized its importance to the real world (and) produced a large expansion of international trade theory," Dixit said. "All the theory?" I doubt that.

Krugman introduced his trade theory in 1979 in a 10-page article in the Journal of International Economics. Well, it's already stale, isn't it.

It posited that because consumers want a diversity of products, and because economies of scale make production cheaper, multiple countries can build a product such as cars. A nation like Sweden can build its own car brands for both export and sale at home, while also importing cars from other countries. They did, the Saab and the Volvo. But GM and Ford owns them now and they're soon to go under.

Rumors are flying this month that Ford Motor may sell Volvo and General Motors is considering dumping Saab.

That’s not necessarily a bad thing for the two Swedish premium marques. It could actually give the venerable brands a new lease on life.

The article also outlined a new theory of economic geography. Krugman's idea was that if two countries were alike but one had a larger population, real wages would be somewhat higher in the more populous country because companies there could make better use of economies of scale, creating a greater diversity of goods, lower prices, or both.

Because this enhances the welfare of consumers in that country, its population would increase as more people moved there, which would lead to additional increases in real wages.

Krugman is not the first Nobel economics winner to be a familiar liberal name.

Paul Samuelson, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor who won the prize in 1970, and the late Milton Friedman, longtime University of Chicago professor who won in 1976, were both columnists for Newsweek magazine for many years.

Friedman, who died in 2006, also was known for his PBS TV series "Free to Choose" in the United States, while Samuelson, 98, wrote an economics textbook used by millions of college students. I just hated those textbook writers sponging off us students by rewriting one chapter every two years so they could get more money.

Eli Saslow Can't Seem To Face The Truth About Barak Obama

I won't ask you to read such diatribe trash as Eli Saslow's epic in the Washington Post of the Obama rise from nothing to sainthood in Illinois. He started by stabbing a fellow Democrat in the back. He had won his seat (state senate) by challenging the validity of opponents' petition signatures, a tactical move that knocked a popular black incumbent named Alice Palmer off the ballot and allowed Obama to run unopposed.

Saslow said, For one of his first major projects as a (state) senator, Obama sponsored an ethics bill that made it illegal for senators to receive gifts from lobbyists.

The successful effort reinforced Obama's public image as a do-good reformer but annoyed some colleagues. But if he had his mother and grandmother around now this is what he would say: "Look at me now, Mom, I'm a reformer and at the same time Fannie Mae paid me millions of dollars in kickbacks for supporting their causes. I trained a group named ACORN that goes around fixing elections, in fact I was their attorney. Taught them all they know." And the before-mentioned is fact except that his mother and grandmother aren't around to hear him gloat. If that isn't a duplicitous two-faced approach I don't know what is.

It almost makes you sick to see liberal writer Eli Saslow gloss over the Obama years trying to make himself something more than just a man who voted "present" 129 times. Saslow derides those times as ". . .129 "Present" votes, watered-down bills and a dearth of significant accomplishments.

But Saslow also dreamed up a neat little argument in typical Obama fashion, sugar coating the record of this tall lean man from Chicago, a tactic Obama, himself, utilizes any time the truth is clearly going against him. Saslow said the following about those so-called votes. Read and you be the judge, then read my comment below to the liberal Washington Post and their article, a paper that once was such a fine fair-minded newspaper. Leave your comments on my Political Disconnect blog for others to see.

"His political opponents have used those votes as proof of cowardice. By refusing to vote "Yes" or "No," they argue, Obama avoided casting votes on controversial issues in order to protect his record.

"But Obama placed more than half of his "Present" votes along with other Democrats in organized protest of Republican legislation," says Saslow without documentating any of it), "voting records showed. (no they didn't) Allies said many of his other 'Present' votes reflected his tendency toward analysis and precision: 'He voted Present whenever he liked a bill but felt uncomfortable with its wording, they said.' "

"Nobody ever thought the 'Present' votes would become an issue," Kimberly Lightford (a state29-year-old senate colleague) said. "Obviously, he never thought so, or he probably would have voted 'Yes' or 'No.' "

Had enough? On the contrary, there is an honest story at Newsmax by Ronald Kessler, someone I respect, entitled: "Obama Ran With A Bad Crowd in High School." I suggest you click on that when you're finished reading my comments below.

    I (dusanotes@yahoo.com) wrote:
Eli glosses and smoozes over Obama's Illinois record, which wouldn't be much without his friend (Senate miniority leader) Emil Jones. The only thing this article proves is that Obama is a cameleon, Lacertilia of reptiles distinguished from the snakes by a fused inseparable lower jaw, a person who will assume any demeanor, any style, and any front necessary to get what he wants. It has to do with honesty, which Obama lacks. A lot of Eli's article was not complimentary, a credit to the author. Obama is the biggest smooze artist of all. He should be known for those 20 bills he authored, but not the 200 he stole authorship from someone else. It's all for me and none for you, except a good laugh, several beers, and a pat on the good-old-boy network back with O. Lookout Washington, here comes Obama. Something bad is coming down, have you heard the news? Duck and slide, run and hide, nothing can stop the Smooze.

The difference between Obama and McCain is that had Obama been imprisoned in Hanoi, he wold have admitted everything, signed confessions, gone on national TV and told them the US was wrong and North Viet Nam right, given names of his co-pilot, squadron members and associates, and lied about and ratted on the entire US Navy. He would would not have been in prison all broken up for almost six years. Obama would have been sent back home in six months with no broken bones, facing court marshal and a dishonorable discharge because of what his fellow prisoners would have been obliged to say. An honorable man, Obama is not! Power hungry at any cost, he is.

    Has China Overtaken America?

    by Don White
Not long ago it seemed almost inconceivable to think that China would be headed for World supremacy and the United States would be in decline. But that, my friends, is where we find ourselves today.

One writer believes the only safe place to invest right now is in China. I hope this thinking doesn't persist and become a trend. If it does it means the end of our superiority as a nation, the end of the dollar as a true standard of value, the end of millions of jobs created here in this country, and the emergence of China as the true superpower and leader of the world.

He is writing for "Money and Markets" and here are his comments. Some of you may want to weigh in on what he says. I'll also have a link at the end so you can read the entire piece.

Why I'm so bullish on China ...
    by Larry Edelson

    Dear Don,

    Larry Edelson

Other than cash, gold, and a few select natural resource stocks, the only other investments I'd make in these wild and crazy times are in Chinese companies, buying them hand over fist for the long haul.

Yes, that's right. Even bearing in mind the recent milk/melamine scandal, which is outrageous.

    _____________________________________
You see, China is about the only economy on the planet with both short- and long-term growth potential. Just take a look at the latest economic stats ...

China's August retail sales exploded 23.2% higher to their fastest growth rate in nine years.

If you haven't already gotten a stake in this economic juggernaut, consider doing so now!

Two of my favorite China plays are the iShares FTSE Index (FXI), which tracks China's Shanghai stock market, and the U.S. Global Investors China Regional Opportunities Fund (USCOX).

Both offer incredible profit potential, are easy to buy, and are great ways to play China without having to open a foreign brokerage account or buy stocks overseas.

Two more things to be on the lookout for with China ...

First, China will continue to buy up oil and lend underlying support to the oil market for years to come. It's the chief reason oil prices have remained above the $90 level, and China will be the chief reason we will eventually see $200-a-barrel oil.

Second, I have strong reason to believe that Beijing is soon going to substantially increase its gold reserves, which at 600 metric tons, are among the lowest in the world as a percent of the country's foreign exchange reserves.

Why? Beijing now has almost $2 TRILLION in reserves in its piggy bank. I have no doubt that central bankers at the People's Bank of China have held high level discussions with Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson.

And Chinese central bankers are prepared to buy oodles of the U.S. Treasury securities that Paulson is going to have to auction off to raise funds for the $700 billion plus U.S. bank bailout.

Put simply, China is going to use a large portion of its $2 trillion in reserves to help bail out the U.S.
    Gold bars

But the authorities in Beijing are no dummies. They also know that the U.S. dollar is in a long-term downtrend. So, they don't want to see any of the investment they are about to make in the U.S. go down the tubes because of a falling dollar.

They have only one choice: Bolster the country's gold reserves while they're investing in U.S. Treasuries.

Bottom line: In addition to driving oil prices higher, soon you will be hearing that China is a big, big gold buyer.

So hold those core gold holdings I've recommended!

    Best wishes,

    Larry

McCain Better Listen to Newt Gringrich!

    Newt Gingrich

Where We Find Ourselves This October:
The Bush-Paulson Economy is a Failure
Obama and the Left Would Be Worse
Can McCain Offer a Path to Economic
    Growth and Prosperity?
    By Newt Gingrich

America this October is like a patient who has barely avoided a massive heart attack. We have no strategy for recovery, no strategy for economic growth, and no strategy for holding accountable those who have created this mess.

We're also far from out of danger. If we do not create an economic recovery program, we will be facing another bailout next year.

To put it another way: We can mop up water all we want but if we don't fix the leak we will simply have to keep mopping.

Similarly, we can pass a bailout, but if we don't fix the economy we will have more and more bailouts.

America Must Get Back to the Fundamentals to Be Healthy Again

If we don't develop an energy abundance plan, we will continue to send $500 billion or more a year overseas and our economy will continue to weaken.

If we don't focus on making it easier for small business and for entrepreneurial startups, we won't have the new jobs to replace the old ones that are fading away under the pressures of science, technology and the world market.

If we don't get government spending, government regulations, government bureaucracy and government-mandated litigation under control, our economy will continue to weaken and we will be hit with rising inflation.

America has to get back to the fundamentals to become healthy again.

The Bush-Paulson Economic Strategy Has Been a Disaster

The Bush-Paulson strategy has been a disaster and has made things more difficult.

This spring, the $152 billion stimulus bill was wasted money. It should have been invested in science, technology, energy, infrastructure and pro-jobs, pro-savings tax cuts.

Imagine repealing the business killing Sarbanes-Oxley bill, eliminating the capital gains tax, going to 100 percent annual expensing for small businesses, and other practical steps to create jobs and generate wealth to mop up the bad debts.

Imagine half of the $152 billion invested in clean coal, biofuels, solar power, wind power, nuclear power, natural gas vehicles, hydrogen vehicles and drilling for oil and natural gas. Imagine the other half being invested in the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, and in a space-based air traffic control system that would increase capacity in the Northeast by 40 percent. That would have been a long-term investment strategy instead of a wasted stimulus package.

Amazingly, the Housing Bailout Contained $500 Million for Radical, Anti-Free Market Groups

To give you a sense of how failed the current strategy has been, consider this: This summer a $300 billion housing bailout was passed with a $500 million a year payment to a radical, anti-free market group called ACORN and other left-wing organizing groups.

ACORN is a left-wing, political extortion racket. It's currently busy bussing people to vote early in Ohio and elsewhere - these are your tax dollars at work. You get taxed to send a left-wing group money to use to elect left-wing predatory politicians to raise your taxes to give more money to groups who help them get elected, etc.

It was suicidal for a Republican president to sign that housing bailout bill and any bill that contains funding for groups so radically opposed to the values and interests of the vast majority of Americans.

The Paulson Bailout a "Paradigm Shift" Toward Big Government and Big Cronyism

The Paulson bailout was initially bad and made worse by the Congressional Democrats. Then, John McCain and the House Republicans moved the bill from terrible to merely bad.

Still, lobbyists are already lining up to get their piece of the Paulson pie. They see a goldmine of new government regulation and involvement in private industry for them to exploit for their clients. One lobbyist told the Hill newspaper: "This will ripple through every piece of major legislation we are looking at next Congress. This is a paradigm shift."

Too Little Too Late: The SEC Moves Away From Mark-to-Market Accounting

Finally, the Bush Administration resisted for months modifying the mark-to-market accounting system which has been the source of many unnecessary bankruptcies.

The need to abandon the mark-to-market rule was the focus of my speech last Tuesday morning at the National Press Club. By Tuesday afternoon, to its credit, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) admitted the mark-to-market rule needed to be revised and announced a substantial change in its application. If the SEC had done this three months ago, it might have avoided $500 billion of the $700 billion in bad debt that Paulson wants to bail out with your money.

But If Bush-Paulson is Bad, Obama-Frank-Dodd-Pelosi-Reid Will Be Worse

Clearly, by any reasonable standard, the Bush-Paulson stewardship of the economy has failed.

But the Barack Obama-Barney Frank-Chris Dodd-Nancy Pelosi-Harry Reid-left-wing policies of big government, high taxes, more litigation, and insider deals for their left-wing special interests will be even worse.

We've heard a lot about predatory lenders in this current economic crisis. They deserve their share of the blame. But it's time to introduce a new term that gets us closer to the real roots of this crisis: Predatory politicians.

Predatory politicians are much more dangerous than predatory lenders. Predatory politicians have the power of the government to coerce you.

Government under Obama, Frank, Dodd, Pelosi and Reid will be government by and for predatory politicians. It will make dealing with predatory lenders seems like a walk in the park.

McCain and Palin Should Sound the Call Against Predatory Politicians

The elite media has desperately sought to avoid the guilt of the left for the current crisis. But this is a topic Senator McCain and Governor Palin should spend at least one-third of their time on for the next four weeks.

For more information on predatory politicians and their role in the making of the economic crisis, see my paper "Predatory Politicans, Destructive Leftwing Politics and the Roots of the Housing Crisis."

And if McCain and Palin find themselves in need of arguments against the left's all-purpose excuse that a lack of government regulation is all that is behind the economic crisis, they should read this conversation with Warren Buffet. The government had a 200-employee agency whose sole job was to watch over Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and yet Fannie and Freddie still managed to bring the economy to its knees.

The Questions Senator Obama Needs to Answer

Senator Obama is intimately tied to corruption, left-wing radicalism, and predatory politicians. But the elite media has done everything it could to avoid asking the key questions.

For a list of the questions Senator Obama needs to answer before we can judge his fitness for office, see my paper "Why is Barack Obama Afraid to Answer These Questions?"

Senator McCain and Governor Palin should spend another third of their time asking Obama and the elite media to answer these questions.

They could use the same technique that Senator Richard Russell used in 1936 to defeat populist Georgia Governor Gene Talmadge. Russell literally posted a list of questions on the podium in Macon and told the crowd "Don't let him leave until he answers them." It was the psychological turning point of that campaign because Talmadge refused to answer and the people knew it.

If everywhere Obama and Biden went for the next 28 days they were faced with these questions they would rapidly lose popular legitimacy.

The McCain Crisis: Danger and Opportunity

Senator McCain now faces the crisis of his career.

    He is behind.

He will not catch up on a state-by-state basis.

He will either win the argument in the national media, suddenly growing stronger in many states or he will lose the national debate and gradually decline further in a number of states.

    The Danger For McCain

If Senator McCain is not prepared to separate himself from the Bush-Paulson economic program, he has no opportunity to win.

The country is deeply fed up with the Bush presidency and angry about the Paulson bailout. If McCain is confused or uncertain about how bad this economic performance is, he will never get the country to listen to him.
(more from Gringrich in next blog).

McCain Better Listen to Gingrich (Two)

    The Opportunity for McCain

Just as Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan (as well as the House Republicans in 1994 with the Contract with America) created a large argument which led to a decisive result, so McCain has an opportunity to reach beyond the daily attacks and clever tactics and spend the last 28 days of this campaign making a large argument over America's future.

If McCain is prepared to declare that it is time for a fundamental change away from the failure of Bush-Paulson and away from the leftism of Obama (a "clean rupture" as French President Nicolas Sarkozy described it in breaking with President Jacques Chirac (watch my video on Sarkozy here) or "bold colors with no pale pastels" as Reagan described it in breaking with President Ford in 1976), then he has a huge opportunity on three levels:

First, small business and free markets are better than bureaucrats and socialism.

We know this as a matter of American values and polling confirms it. The margin isn't even close; it's about 70 -20 or better. Clinton pollster Doug Schoen and Republican pollster Kellyanne Conway recently did a survey for American Solutions which proves the American people hold the government responsible for much of our current economic pain. On other key issues like energy and taxes, the Platform of the American People proves that McCain could build a big majority.

Second, the vast majority of the American people are deeply fed up with the corruption, dishonesty, and arrogance of Washington and of many of their state capitals.

A candidate with the courage to tell the truth about Franklin Raines, Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, the Carter and Clinton-era pressures for bad loans, the ACORN pressure for bad loans (trained in Chicago by Barack Obama in his community organizer days) would have an enormous response from a country which is sick of predatory politicians, arrogant bureaucrats, and elitist reporters.

In short, the elites would be enraged but the American people would be enthusiastic.

Third, there are huge groups of Americans eager to have someone address their concerns and offer them hope.

Millions of small business owners would like a program that cut spending in Washington and taxes on their businesses and reduced regulations and red tape.

Millions of drivers would like an energy program that offered them hope. They believe in drilling here and drilling now.

Every person who uses electricity is eager for a determined effort to develop clean coal.

Millions of retirees or soon to be retirees would like a program that would strengthen the economy and increase the value of their investments.

Entrepreneurs and venture capitalists would fight for a program that abolished Sarbanes-Oxley, eliminated the capital gains tax, and expanded H-1B visas for talented workers.

A bold program of the right changes would rally a massive number of activists and donors to fight for a better future.

    "Action This Day"

That was the slogan Winston Churchill used to focus and energize the British Government when he became prime minister in the darkest days of World War II.

If Senator McCain is prepared to be as bold as Winston Churchill and as aggressive as Theodore Roosevelt, this is an election that can be won and might be won by a shocking margin (like Harry Truman in 1948).

The choice is his. As for myself, I know of no other path that will work.

    Your friend,

    Newt Gingrich

P.S. -- Thanks to the determined effort of Americans like you, October marks the first month in a quarter-century when it is legal to explore for energy offshore. This is a huge victory, but many among the anti-energy left have already said they will do everything they can to stop it. You can arm yourselves with the facts about America's energy potential with my new book, Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less (also available in audio) as well as Callista and my new DVD, co-produced by Citizen's United, called We Have the Power.

You can also watch this video about the "Drill Here, Drill Now" efforts at American Solutions over the summer to have the Congress act to lower gas and diesel prices.

    Politics--Inconsistencies and Compromise

The following is by an Obama lover. Just to prove we keep it fair and balanced. But there is something in the last line of what Luigi says that rankles me because it is not true, among everything else he says. See if you agree and send us a comment on this blog.

Politics produces lots of inconsistencies and compromises, especially during elections. Senator Obama indeed has a thin record and limited experience. Some of his associations are somewhat troubling, but probably motivated by politics and not ideology. One of our greatest presidents, Abraham Lincoln had limited experience and also found it expedient to make alliances with characters with a wide variety of disparate views.
I consider myself an fiscal conservative and more liberal on social matters. If you believe the last 8 years have been fiscally conservative, then we have a serious disagreement. The GWB administration has significantly increased the national debt by a larger percentage than any president I can recall, and we now have a society with wealth inequalities not seen since the depression. Guess what? John McCain has voted with GWB most of the time. The issue of whether the surge worked or not is the critical one. The critical question is why did we have to go to war with Iraq and spend close to $1T? The evidence we currently have seems to indicate that the war was ill conceived. Senator McCain voted for the war. Instead, we should have chased Bin Laden and his cohorts with full force until we eliminated them. Lastly, Senator Obama has proposed having more substantial high level discussions with our enemies. It reminds me of the famous line from the Godfather movie when Marlon Brando tells Michael, “Keep your friends close but your enemies closer.” Indeed in a dangerous and highly unpredictable world, I like the thoughtful temperament that Senator Obama brings to the table.

Comment by Luigi - October 6, 2008 at 12:25 pm

If you don't have it by now, read my comment to the WSJ which they refused to print--it was my third of the day. It went something like the following: Hey, Luigi, it isn't true that 'Bauma has a "thoughtful temperament (in fact most of what Luigi said isn't true)."

You are confusing lack of brains for being thoughtful. He does hesitate for long periods of time before speaking and "uhs and ahs" a lot. But that's because he's got little upstairs. It takes him a long time to get out his words because he's an "empty suit." He lacks originality--follows the Democrat line...or is it socialist and communist? His subconscious is filled with garbage from Frank Davis and Jerimiah Wright and often this comes out.

His handlers have warned him to think before speaking. That may be difficult for this verbose man. If he is elected, he will take orders from Congressmen like Barney Frank, Schumer, Charley Rangle, Dodd, and Clinton. He's not smart. How'd he get into Harvard, affirmative action?

Do you recall the Clinton debates. The press was very partial to Obama and hated Hillary. They'd always...and I watched and noticed...they'd always ask Hill the question first. What did ACORN have over the lib press? Clinton would answer and then they'd look at the "empty suit." He couldn't think of an original line...if he had to. So when he got stuck he always said, "I agree with her."

Who's going to prompt him behind the oval office? Will Barak have to sit on Joe Biden's lap as they talk to Ahmadinejad, Putin, the Castro Brothers, and Chavez? Someone better be there--he'll give away Air Force One or the Pentagon if he's left alone. He's a dummy and will be even dummer as president. A lot of us are really fearing for America if this man is elected. He hasn't yet produced the long form of his birth certificate. We don't know for sure if he was even born here in America? When's the liberal press going to demand this paper? After November 6th, so they can crown Joe Biden, the Bungler, president?

I didn't have enough words (230 max) in the WSJ box to say the last graph, but I gladly would have.

Unfair Comment By WSJ's Peter Brown

Peter Brown wrote a disparaging article about the McCain-Palin ticket and chances for election. That, I don't mind. Everyone has a right to editorialize these days any way they want. If he's a Democrat, then I can understand.

But when we write we should back up our statements with facts, which he failed to do. Here's my initial comment and see if you agree after checking the WSJ Peter Brown article:

Peter Brown, a pretty good story except for one sentence which you post and then go onto something else (unsubstantiated):You said, “Republican polices that loosened regulation of the financial services industry are being blamed by many.”

As an honest journalist you know better than plopping down a caustic sentence without substantial backup. You don’t give sources, just your opinion. The truth is the Republicans, including Bush and McCain, warned the Democrats about the Fannie and Freddie fiasco and asked the Dems to do something at least two years ago. In fact, Bush had legislation to change Mae and Mac. It was supported by every Republican Congressman and opposed and defeated by every Democrat. That one bill could have made the difference here. So put the blame where it really belongs.

I wrote my objection to it and got stuck in one of those 230-character response or comment boxes. Then I noticed some others had successfully written twice or three times my verbiage and got away with it. How is it done, pal? Anyway, here's my second response:

Why is it that for most of us, comments are limited to 230 characters (in the Wall Street Journal). But Shoot and Chris got 340 or so and Kate got almost 600 words? Is there a magic formula or a greasing of the skids, or what?
I wrote 230 in the box and it stopped…How do we equal but lesser (only in your eyes) lights get a larger box next time? Where’s the fair and equal writing privilege in this? Tell us it ain't so, boss.

How Smart Are You on Government?

Answers.com > Wiki Answers > Categories > History Politics and Society > Politics and Society > Politics and Policy > US Constitution > Why does the Supreme Court session begin on the first Monday in October?

    History Behind First Monday:

Congress in 1916 advanced the convening of the Supreme Court from the second Monday in October, fixed in 1873, to the first (beginning in 1917). This measure, drafted by Justice James C. McReynolds, was intended to expand the Court's capacity for handling its growing docket.

First Mondays are solemn, ceremonial occasions. The chief justice opened the proceedings at noon until 1961 and thereafter, as noted in Supreme Court Rule 4 (1) (2003), at ten o'clock. Tributes are offered to retired and deceased colleagues and court officers. New justices take their judicial oaths, solicitors general are presented, and attorneys are admitted to the Court's bar. Fidelity to the rule of law is symbolized by the presence of members of the executive and legislative branches, as in 1962 when President John F. Kennedy and Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson attended during the then‐raging Mississippi racial crisis. Other symbolically significant First Mondays have been signaled by the presence of the first black page (1954), the first black justice (1967), and the first woman justice (1981).

Little business was traditionally transacted in the usually brief First Monday proceedings. Circuit allotments were reported and arguments on motions were presented. The most important event was the release of a lengthy orders list of dispositions of certiorari petitions. Civil rights litigation shook the placid First Monday tradition in 1958, when Justice Felix Frankfurter filed his concurring opinion in Cooper v. Aaron and in 1964 when the Court heard arguments on the public accommodations section of the new Civil Rights Act on opening day. Similarly oral arguments on the First Monday occurred intermittently thereafter until 1975, when the Court began regularly scheduling oral arguments on that day. A politically symbolic but defunct First Monday tradition, which lasted from 1917 until World War II, was adjournment for a White House visit.

Bailout of Wall Street Is Wrong

Let's Do A Loan To Wall Street, No Bailout!

I responded to a Meridian article by former White House aid to three presidents, Stephen Studdert, who called for immediate passage of the bailout bill that Congress is considering today.

It would be a great service to all Meridian readers if comments like the one I'm going to make below could accompany the article.

Obviously, Mr. Studdert has been a Washington insider for quite a time and knows and feels what people living inside the Beltway understand. But there's one flaw in his thesis. He and others have called it an emergency that needs to be dealt with immediately without considering alternatives.

My view is that it should not be a "bailout" using taxpower money or credits, but a "loan" of new money from the treasury with provisions for payback. This was propounded by Newt Gringrich and other conservatives close to the action. We are still a democratic nation espousing free enterprise not government ownership of means of production and commerce. It is wrong for government to bailout private enterprise and it is unnecessary. For example, J.P. Morgan Chase ended up taking over the defunct Washington Mutual and Wells Fargo merged with them, taking care of one of the problem banks, the fourth largest.

Wachovia Bank was taken over by CityGroup. Warren Buffett invested $5 Billion in Lehman Brothers when the price was right. That's what happens in a free enterprise system. Wall Street understands that more than anyone else. Yes, we have a disaster in the making, but to take the tunnel-vision approach that most people are taking and saying "bailout" is the only solution is distasteful to me and, frankly, most Americans are angry at the financial system in this country and at the leaders who weakened lending rules. That includes President Bush, Congressman Barney Frank and others for not ordering the fixing of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac when John McCain raised concerns two years ago.

There is plenty of blame to go around, including to those families who speculated in the rapidly rising housing market in 2004 and 2005, knowing they bought a house (maybe on an ARM mortgage that could spiral out of control and most of them did) with only a "hope and a promise" of a quick re-sale for a giant profit. I think Sarah Palin hit the nail on the head last night at the Biden debate. There are a lot of us that should be looking inward and taking precautions to clean up our own "house" and internal affairs to make sure this doesn't happen again.

Sarah Palin Stood Toe-To-Toe With Biden

Here are my comments to a NY Times article which stated that Sarah Palin did pretty well, but the persnikety Times had to take a swipe at her, saying her lines were memorized.

I challenge anyone, after five weeks "off the farm" to do as well. She was terrific. In fact Fox News had her winning the debate and a pollster from their show felt she did so well the McCain-Palin ticket will enjoy a nice little bump in the polls because of how she handled herself. We all know how the liberal press has mistreated this candidate--really bashed her like no other candidate in the history of presidential politics. They are 'libs,' and they know it all. . . we all understand that. But what they don't understand--because they live in another world--is the heart and mind of the American people. Here's my comment.

"Sarah Palin stood tall against the more experienced Joe Biden, and in the end she came out on top of this debate by sheer power of personality. Heartland America is not New York. Not everyone who votes reads the Times or even cares about most of the issues the Times sells, certainly not in the elitist manner you convey. America is more Palin than Biden, in speech, mannerisms, and political suasion. The Democrats fear her more than they fear McCain. In four years she will be a formidable presidential candidate. She lives in a world that people identify with--where children, family issues, and the day-to-day challenges of paying the rent far out-trump whether she remembers the name of the general in far-off Afghanstan."

Obama Smokes His Brand of Communism

    Part Two:

Obama’s Secret Passions: Communism and Cigarettes

In his biography of Barack Obama, David Mendell writes about Obama's life as a "secret smoker" and how he "went to great lengths to conceal the habit." But what about Obama's secret political life? It turns out that Obama's childhood mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, was a communist. Now we know where his communist ideas and sympathies began.

It's no secret that when news hit the wires that Russia had invaded Georgia, Obama’s first remark was, “both sides should show restraint.” He would go on to regret that tepid statement, but his real sentiments showed through as he would repeat it again while John McCain immediately, rightly and strongly, criticized Moscow for invading Georgia, demanding they leave.

McCain made a point of this apparent Obama slip or weakness in the first debate, stating Obama was too naïve, unprepared and inexperienced about world affairs to be commander in chief.

Was he naïve? Obama observers said he merely misspoke. One such faux pass, yes, but two in the same week on the same subject and in the same words, no. I believe part of him, nine years to be exact, instructs his sympathetic behavior toward Russia, its invasion into sovereign Georgian territory, Vladimir Putin, and even communism.

This is also the reason he was so quick to tell the world he could comfortably meet without preconditions with the world’s worst dictators—they are generally communists and he feels a natural inclination toward them and would be confident around them because he shares most of the same beliefs. When the American voter awakens to that fact, Obama's "smokin" polling numbers will quickly fade. But is there enough time to get the word out?

Obama knows Russia is not a democracy—he said that in the last debate. He knows Russia is not the capitalistic country Vladimir Putin inherited from Mikhail Gorbachev and Boris Yeltsin after perestroika. As Putin nationalized oil and other industries and ruled with an iron hand, Russia reverted back to its former self, a repressive communistic dictatorship.

In his books, Obama admits attending "socialist conferences" and coming into contact with Marxist literature. But he ridicules the charge of being a "hard-core academic Marxist," which was made by his colorful and outspoken 2004 U.S. Senate opponent, Republican Alan Keyes. But his policies and thought patterns belie that Obama smoke screen.

However, through Frank Marshall Davis, Obama had an admitted relationship with someone who was publicly identified as a leader of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) in Hawaii. The record shows that Obama was in Hawaii from 1971-1979, where he developed a close relationship, almost like a son, with Davis, listening to his "poetry" and getting advice on his career path. But Obama, in his book, Dreams From My Father, refers to him repeatedly as just "Frank."

The reason is apparent: Davis was a known communist who belonged to a party subservient to the Soviet Union. In fact, the 1951 report of the Commission on Subversive Activities to the Legislature of the Territory of Hawaii identified him as a CPUSA member. What's more, anti-communist congressional committees, including the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC), accused Davis of involvement in several communist-front organizations.

Trevor Loudon, a New Zealand-based libertarian activist, researcher and blogger, in a posting of March 2007 noted evidence that "Frank" was Frank Marshall Davis. Obama's communist connection adds to mounting public concern about a candidate who has come out of virtually nowhere, with a brief U.S. Senate legislative record, to become the Democratic Party nominee for the U.S. presidency. AIM recently disclosed that Obama has well-documented socialist connections, which help explain why he sponsored a "Global Poverty Act" designed to send hundreds of billions of dollars of U.S. foreign aid to the rest of the world, in order to meet U.N. demands. The bill has passed the House and a Senate committee, and awaits full Senate action.

In Obama's own book, Dreams From My Father, he writes about "a poet named Frank," who visited them in Hawaii, read poetry, and was full of "hard-earned knowledge" and advice. Who was Frank? Obama only says that he had "some modest notoriety once," was "a contemporary of Richard Wright and Langston Hughes during his years in Chicago..." but was now "pushing eighty." He writes about "Frank and his old Black Power dashiki self" giving him advice before he left for Occidental College in 1979 at age18. Dashiki is a colorful men's garment widely worn in West Africa that covers the top half of the body.

Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
    – Proverbs 21:6

That’s a favorite Biblical statement. It's a truth that fits Barak Obama to a T. Frank Davis taught him communism as a youth and what do you get more than 20 years later—a candidate for president who sides with the likes of Hugo Chavez, Vladimir Putin, Raul Castro, Hu Jintao, and Kim Il-sung.

The Rev. Jeremiah Wright of the Trinity United Church of Christ taught him and Michelle how to hate America and Frank Davis taught him to love communism. Is it any wonder that Michelle made those gaffes some time after Obama’s started his presidential campaign. They were about it being the first time she really appreciated being an American? In typical fashion, Obama tried to excuse her by saying she meant her newfound pride was about the political system and was not meant to disparage her country. Barak, what kind of dried ganga leaf you been smokin'?

“What she meant was, this is the first time that she’s been proud of the politics of America,” he said. But Michelle Obama is an experienced attorney and an expert public speaker. I doubt anyone believed that lame excuse. What they believed is that Michelle Obama was preconditioned to say such garbage because of Reverend Wright.

This "Frank" is none other than Frank Marshall Davis, the black communist writer now considered by some to be in the same category of prominence as Maya Angelou and Alice Walker. In the summer/fall 2003 issue of African American Review, James A. Miller of George

Washington University reviews a book by John Edgar Tidwell, a professor at the University of Kansas, about Davis's career, and notes, "In Davis's case, his political commitments led him to join the American Communist Party during the middle of World War I---even though he never publicly admitted his Party membership." Tidwell is an expert on the life and writings of Davis.

One academic who travels in communist circles understands the significance of the Davis-Obama relationship. Professor Gerald Horne, a contributing editor of the Communist Party journal Political Affairs, talked about it during a speech last March at the reception of the Communist Party USA archives at the Tamiment Library of New York University. The remarks are posted online under the headline, "Rethinking the History and Future of the Communist Party."

Cliff Kincaid writes about a Daily Telegraph article by Toby Harnden on Communist Frank Marshall Davis, "a strong influence over a young Barack Obama for nine years of his life, rather than just four, and was a sex pervert and pothead. "Sexual Perversion and Rape and Davis’s alleged sexual perversion adds a dramatic and alarming element to the controversy.

Harnden, the Daily Telegraph's U.S. editor based in Washington D.C reports that Davis’s sexual proclivities were documented in a 1968 pornographic novel, written just two years before Davis became Obama’s mentor, which was titled, Sex Rebel: Black (Memoirs of a Gourmet Gash).

It was in Chicago that Obama became a "community organizer" and came into contact with more far-left political forces, including the Democratic Socialists of America (SDS) which maintains close ties to European socialist groups and parties through the Socialist International (SI), and two former members of the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), William Ayers and Carl Davidson.

The SDS laid siege to college campuses across America in the 1960s, mostly in order to protest the Vietnam War, and spawned the terrorist Weather Underground organization.

Ayers was a member of the terrorist group and turned himself in to authorities in 1981. He is now a college professor and served with Obama on the board of the Woods Fund of Chicago. Davidson is now a figure in the Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism, an offshoot of the old Moscow-controlled CPUSA, and helped organize the 2002 rally where Obama came out against the Iraq War. Come to think of it, Putin and Russia were against our war in Iraq, too. Still are. Coincidence?

If Marx And Engles Could See Us Now...

America Lost The Cold War, Communism Won

Study the Communist Manifesto and see how America is almost there. The only thing we lack is Barak Obama who has promised to take us to that pastoral land of government power and handouts.

Our private enterprise system is under attack by Democrats. It has been called a system of greed by those who attack the machinery of capitalism, the liberal government, writers, movie stars, authors, and politicians.

The real instruments of greed are the politicians who take "slush fund" money, who "ear-mark" our money to their favorite charities, who do very little good while drawing their $170,000 per year salaries, who travel the world at your expense, and who have no limit to their ability to stay in power because of special interest group funding and no Congressional term limits.

Obama denies he's a Communist. But if he is elected president he has promised to bring his Communist ideals full circle, with government-paid cradle-to-grave education for all Americans, a liberal universal medical policy all paid for by the government, greater reverence for labor unions, and more centralization of communication and transport which will be taken over by the federal government.

That's just to name a few. Obama is very critical of profits made by titans of industry and lays the blame for the credit crunch at their feet instead at his own Democratic Party where it belongs. But he doesn't mind enriching himself through private deals with criminals, slush funds, and ear marks to his wife's company. She got a hefty pay raise once he threw his hat into the presidential ring. In return, he earmarked a million dollars to this company and promptly said there was no illegal undue favoritism, gravy, or graft involved.

Obama will do away with certain radio stations via the so-called "Fairness Doctrine" which will call for all conservative radio stations to donate "equal time" to liberal minds and voices, thus eliminating such conservative commentators as Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Shawn Hanity, Bill O'Riley, and others.

You think things are bad now? Wait until after November 4th. In short, Obama will quickly move to control America's airwaves and stifle dissent. He will raise taxes on the "golden goose" that lays the egg of jobs in America, businesses. He will tax us to death, and I mean companies and people making more than $40,000.

Give no heed to what he says, look at his record because that is precisely what he has voted to do in the past. The condition of the economy will become far worse than it is today but his propaganda machine will further distort economic conditions so that he can declare another national "emergency" and jump in and confiscate private stockholder equity and make the State the only authorized participants in heretofore private enterprises.

Like many conservatives nationwide, I do not believe the current Wall Street meltdown should have been considered a national "emergency." The "sky was never falling in." Once you do that, panic envelops Congress--and it appears Obama and McCain are caught up in it, too--and lawmakers do strange things, things saner minds would never do. They pass a $700 Billion bailout that takes over the job of setting the economy right--it will never be right by throwing money at the problem--and they forget that in the natural course of events, our free enterprise system will not only survive but will do what government could never do.

The problem is that once you do this bail out you've got to do another and another. There will be no end to it until they have bankrupted the nation--and we are not far from that today.

Why so much fear? The economy is a self-righting mechanism. Sure, house prices are falling. Sure, many are "upside-down" in their mortgage payments and can't sell a house. And it's true that unemployment is on the rise. If we'd just let it alone for awhile things will right themselves without political intervention and the vote-buying mentality and meddling.

It's really too bad that this came right before an election, where half of Congress could lose their jobs. That's all they're worried about. They want to save face by saying they did something. But what about Hank Paulson--he's out of a job next year anyway? His panic was caused by just plain stupidity, and he's got Bush by the scruff of the neck worrying about his legacy.

Meanwhile, this "bailout" plays into the hands of those who want more government, more communist-like handling of affairs of state. Each time we do something stupid like this bailout, we move closer and closer to a socialist regime, and even nearer to communism.

It will happen, my friends. In fact, it is happening as the national presidential election polls trend toward Obama over McCain, the experienced candidate. It is a total shame that the young people of our nation who support this inexperienced, Communist-inspired man don't have a sense of history. Their other defect is their feeling of entitlement and their yearning to be on continual vacation from actual work.

Read the following 10 Planks of the Communist Manifesto and then tell me I'm not right.

    1. Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes.
    2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
    3. Abolition of all right of inheritance.
    4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
    5. Centralization of credit in the hands of the State, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly.
    6. Centralization of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the State.
    7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State; the bringing into cultivation of waste-lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
    8. Equal liability of all to labor. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.
    9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country, by a more equable distribution of the population over the country.
    10. Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children's factory labour in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production.

According to the Communist Manifesto, all these were prior conditions for a transition from capitalism to communism but Marx and Engels later expressed a desire to modernize this passage. Read more at Wikipedia

Reader Comment Regarding Obama's ties To Communist Frank Davis

The following email was received relative to a recent article in Political Disconnect tying Barak Obama, while he lived in Hawaii, to a known communist leader, Frank Marshall Davis who visited the home of his mother over a period of nine years while Barak was growing into manhood--and before he left to go to the mainland to college.

It is difficult to know from the email--except from the obvious Hawaiian derivation of the writer's name, Mr. Kaleokueloha, if this is legitimate.

The entire point was not to chase down Davis' family and friends and discredit them, but to point out that presidential candidate Obama had some serious time with a man who, because of his position in the Hawaii Communist Party and his age advantage over Obama, was instrumental in propagandizing him and inculcating the youth's mind with Marxist thoughts. I have not yet posted the second part of the article, which I will today. If the writer wants to give us facts about this relationship--which he can't because he obviously was not around when all this happened, or maybe he was--information about Davis, his alleged father, that we're not aware of I would be happy to air them on this blog. Thanks, reader, for your comments, and keep blogging us.

Kaleokualoha has left a new comment on your post "Obama: Communist Sympathizer?":

Why does Kincaid still insist on chasing the ghost of my father, Frank Marshall Davis, through his series of deliberate misrepresentations? Why does Kincaid still advise the media to "ask Obama about his communist mentor, Frank Marshall Davis"?

All relevant questions have already been answered. "Dreams" indicates that he advised Obama on ethnic, not political matters, and there is no indication that Obama knew anything about his history with the CPUSA. The Obama campaign repudiates his racial view as "incurable." What more do you need to know?

    Take the Bill and Run
    By Daniel Politi
Posted Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, at 6:33 AM ET

The Senate is taking over. After the House rejected the $700 billion bailout of the financial system, senators decided to step into the fray and shepherd the bill through Congress. After a day of behind-the-scenes negotiations, Senate leaders scheduled a vote on a slightly revised package tonight with the expectation that the House would approve the measure by the end of the week. The revisions to the financial rescue plan include a one-year increase in the limit on federally insured deposits to $250,000 from $100,000 and a variety of tax breaks. The tweaks to the bill wouldn't change the basics of the rescue plan, "but would add a populist tinge at a time when voters appear enraged at what many see as a bailout of Wall Street, not Main Street," notes the Wall Street Journal.

USA Today and the WSJ highlight that key lawmakers hope that having the Senate, including the two presidential candidates, vote in favor of the measure would build momentum for the bill in the House. The Los Angeles Times notes that in the aftermath of the House's rejection of the measure, "there was no shortage of suggestions" for new ways to confront the financial crisis. But in coming up with the revisions to the measure, officials had to play what the New York Times describes as "a delicate balancing act" in order to ensure that the changes wouldn't lead to opposition from fiscally conservative Democrats. While some lawmakers are quick to predict that the House will approve the measure, the Washington Post says House Speaker Nancy Pelosi "responded tepidly to the Senate announcement, and it remained unclear when the House would consider the revised bill."
